The Smart Smoke Detector can be muted from your smartphone for added convenience. It can also be muted directly from the device.
Sound Test Function
There are two sound testing modes:
- From the smartphone App: follow the sound test instructions available in the App. This is only possible if you are within Bluetooth range of the Smart Smoke Detector.
- From the device: press and hold the front of the Smart Smoke Detector until it beeps twice. The alarm will start to sound at 85 dB. Press the front of the detector again to silence the alarm.

The device works with Home + Security, so it can warn your customer wherever they are with an immediate smartphone notification.
